ABOUT
Sculptural Jewelry Beyond Gender
J’ISO LABO is the experimental jewelry practice of Isea Karsli, a silversmith, and multidisciplinary artist. Rooted in movement, intuition, and tension, each piece is an artifact of form in flux — heavy yet porous, bold yet open to interpretation. J’ISO LABO designs are genderless, sculptural, and driven by the raw poetry of material.
Founded in Florence by Isea herself, the label reflects her background in photography and media arts (Middlesex University London, NABA Milan, The New School NYC), as well as her years in art direction and creative strategy across Europe and the U.S. This hybrid formation informs her unique approach to jewelry: not as ornament, but as gesture, weight, and ritual.
Philosophy and Process
Every piece begins with a question — a shape, a contradiction, a sensation. J’ISO LABO is built on research through making, where hands lead before design is finalized. Isea works entirely by hand, embracing imperfections and tension as a visual language.
The collection is ongoing and open-ended — formed like a personal atlas, each piece carrying memories of place, pressure, or feeling. Pieces are rarely repeated. Many are one-of-a-kind or produced in very small batches.
Commissions and Collaborations
J’ISO LABO welcomes private commissions, collaborations, and custom works that stay within the sculptural and conceptual language of the brand. Commissioned pieces are treated as co-authored rituals, where the client is invited to share a mood, story, or feeling — not dictate a style.
Timeframes vary depending on complexity, but most commissions take between 3–6 weeks, and are discussed personally by Isea with each client. Most pieces can be adjust in size, finishing and stone selection upon request.
